Who I am

Shadan Mosavat, Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).

My work as a therapist is grounded in one simple truth:
We are often hurt in relationships, and we heal through them.

My counselling journey began with children and families, where I spent years observing early attachment patterns and parent–child relationships. That work taught me how deeply our earliest experiences shape emotional regulation, self-worth, and the way we connect with others.

As my practice expanded to working with adults, I began to see the same patterns repeating — just in different forms. The ways we learned to feel safe, to cope, and to relate in childhood often become the “inner map” we continue to follow later in life.

Therapy with me is not about fixing; it’s about making sense of your patterns with compassion, clarity, and care.

My Sessions

My goal is to offer a safe space where you can explore your life story through your own eyes, not through shame, pressure, or expectations. A space where you can understand what shaped you, what still hurts, and what is ready to be released.

To me, healing is not about forgetting.
It’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that deserve care, acceptance, and peace.

My Reason

Like many of the people I support, I lived for years with undiagnosed ADHD. I pushed myself through life with anxiety, perfectionism, and a constant pressure to be “strong.” My ADHD diagnosis changed everything, allowed me to understand my brain with kindness, and build a lifestyle that supports it instead of fighting it.

This lived experience helps me meet clients with deep empathy, especially those who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or exhausted from holding everything together.
